Two Class Schedules To Choose From
A new cosmetology course begins on the first Monday (A Schedule) and the first Thursday (B Schedule) of each month. This gives students the flexibility to choose a start date that works best for their schedule. Each class is intentionally kept small, with an average of 14 students or fewer. With multiple start dates and limited class sizes, we recommend applying early to secure your spot.

The Cosmetology School Experience

A Blended Learning Experience
Training includes a mix of in-person and distance education, giving you flexibility while keeping you connected to instructors and classmates. Students use Pivot Point LAB, our digital learning platform, to access interactive curriculum, electronic textbooks, videos, quizzes, and assignments anytime, anywhere. You can also participate in live or recorded video sessions with your instructors to get feedback, ask questions, and continue practicing your skills outside of the classroom.
Hands-On, Real-World Practice
In class, you’ll learn through lectures, group projects, discussions, and demonstrations, then immediately apply those lessons through practical work on mannequins and clients. You’ll be evaluated on both written and hands-on assignments to help you build confidence in haircutting, styling, coloring, and other essential services.
A School That Teaches You About Money
At COLLECTIV Academy, we’re proud to be a MONEY Edu school in partnership with Qnity. That means in addition to hands-on training in hair, skin, and beauty, you’ll also receive foundational education in personal finance. This course was designed specifically for creatives, helping students gain clarity on important topics like choosing the right career path, understanding student loans, managing income, and more.

Financial Aid at COLLECTIV Academy in Dallas
We’re committed to making beauty education more accessible. At our Dallas campus, financial aid is available to those who qualify through federal student aid programs. We recommend all students fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to see what they may qualify for.
In addition to federal aid, custom payment plans may be available for students not using financial aid.

The goal is not only to help you sit for your state board written and practical exams, but to give you the tools to pursue entry-level positions as a hairstylist, colorist, salon manager, platform artist, product rep, or even a salon owner.

What will my day-to-day look like as a student?
You’ll split your time between classroom theory, hands-on practice on mannequins, and eventually working with real clients in our student salon. Expect a mix of demonstrations, group discussions, digital coursework, and practical assignments.
Do I need to bring my own tools?
No. Your tuition includes a professional student kit with the tools and supplies you’ll need for training. You’ll receive it at orientation.
Will I get to work with real clients?
Yes. After foundational training, you’ll begin providing services to real clients on the student salon floor, under the supervision of licensed instructors.
Can I work a part-time job while in school?
Many students do. While the program is full-time, our scheduling options are designed to give you consistent days off each week, which allows for part-time work if needed.
What kind of career support does COLLECTIV Academy offer?
We provide career coaching, resume help, and mock interviews to prepare you for job opportunities after graduation. You’ll also make industry connections through events, guest artist demos, and opportunities to enroll in Hair Camp.
How to Enroll in Cosmetology School
