New cosmetology classes start the first Tuesday of each month! Enrolling at COLLECTIV Academy in Sandy, Utah is your first step toward a future in the beauty industry. Whether you’re just graduating high school or ready for a fresh start in a creative field, we’re here to make the process clear, supportive, and exciting.
At our Sandy campus, we offer a hands-on, industry-focused education designed to help you build technical skills, gain real salon experience, and grow your confidence as a beauty professional. Below, you’ll find everything you need to know about how to apply, what to expect, and how to get started.
Admissions Requirements at COLLECTIV Academy
We’re excited to welcome students who are passionate about beauty and ready to take the next step in their careers. To be eligible for enrollment at our Sandy campus, applicants must:
- Be above the age of compulsory education
- Provide a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Submit two forms of approved identification, such as:

In addition, applicants must submit:
- $50 non-refundable registration fee
- A completed application
- Copies of their diploma and identification
- Three references

What to Expect During the Enrollment Process
Schedule a Tour and Interview
Your journey starts with a guided tour of our Sandy campus. This is your opportunity to get a feel for the space, meet our educators, and make sure COLLECTIV Academy is the right fit for your goals.
Submit Your Application
After your tour, you can work with your advisor to submit your completed application and required documents. Upon acceptance, COLLECTIV Academy will issue a letter of acceptance to the prospective student. This letter will outline course and tuition information, along with orientation information and requirements.
Meet With Our Team
Prior to orientation, you can expect to meet with our team to discuss pre-enrollment information including the academy completion, licensure and placement rates, along with important industry statistics and other pertinent information.
A written copy of the catalog will be given to each student at orientation or prior to, but students will receive their professional packs and lockers at orientation. Academy policies and procedures will be explained in full and student photos will be taken. Student ID cards will be given within one week of the start date.
Attend Orientation
Before your first day, you’ll attend a mandatory orientation where you’ll get to know the campus, your classmates, and what to expect from your training. We’ll cover everything from your daily schedule to what’s included in your student kit—so you feel confident and ready to begin.
