Cosmetology Student Life

Training is divided into five levels, allowing you to progress from foundational techniques to advanced salon applications.

COLLECTIV Academy students start with freshman training, where you focus on the core fundamentals of cosmetology, including classic haircutting and coloring techniques. During the freshman and sophomore levels, you can expect to spend time in the classroom learning theory while refining your skills on mannequins and models in a hands-on setting.

As you advance to the junior, senior, and graduating senior levels, the focus shifts to practical applications with real clients in our student salon. Under the supervision of licensed instructors, you can gain experience in consulting with clients, executing services, and developing salon-ready techniques.

Each level is designed to give you the technical expertise, business knowledge, and hands-on experience needed to take your next steps in the beauty industry.
